Still having fun!

The job is going swimmingly. I'm still having a lot of fun though I think the giddiness has worn off.

Also I'm editing the novel I wrote the end of last year. It's going well... A friend of mine printed out the whole thing and went through it for me, and its helping me immensely with the editing process. Apparently my main character was a complete douche, and now I have a clear path for keeping him from being so.

The boyfriend is still working on moving. He had a job interview last week, so with any luck he will hear some good news this week.

Oddly enough, laika has taught me to like beer. Well, tolerate it. I don't hate it anyway, except for IPAs. Every Friday there's a bunch of it, since we have a weekly party.

It's rough, guys. Heheheh.

Dream Job?

So I got hired at Laika after months of trying, and I didn't get hired at the bottom! Awesome. Feels like working my tail off has paid off a bit.

I'm an RP Junior Fabricator and I'm working on the puppets' heads using 3D printed objects. It's a blast and I'm learning a ton. The people are a lot of fun too. I've made a few friends and run into some past coworkers and fellow Ai students.

The film were working on has been announced and is called "The Box Trolls." It's loosely based on a British book called "Here Be Monsters." You can read all about it other places on the Internet though.

It's also nice only having one job. It feels like I have a ton of free time in spite of the fact that it takes around 45 minutes to get to work every day. I feel inspired on a daily basis.

In other news, the boyfriend says he's trying to move out here in June. This pleases me. Perhaps there will be a place of our own in the nearish future.

Life is awesome.

Good things on the horizon...

I've got opportunities this week for awesomeness... Here's hoping they go well.

Also, I've been at the hotel for 2 years and 2 weeks now.  And grave shifts are kicking my butt.  I like my job there, don't get me wrong.  I'd rather do that than any of the other jobs at the hotel and I genuinely enjoy it... But lately my body has been telling me it wants to be awake during the day and asleep at night.  Apparently artists aren't nocturnal. :)  

I only get about five hours of sleep at the most and usually three or four.  Somehow I'm still functioning but I'm tired all the time, and regardless of that I still can't make myself sleep more.  Eh well.  Hopefully the good things on the horizon will resolve this before I have to think of something else.

Fluuuuu.

So I managed to get the flu. I thought it might be food poisoning at first, but alas. Everyone else who ate the same food is fine. I don't recommend it as a weight loss plan, but I expect I'll be happy to see the scale when this is all over. I haven't been that sick in a long time. The really horrid part was I was supposed to have an interview for one of my dream jobs yesterday. Luckily through no effort of my own it was moved to Monday. Phew.

Today will be a day of napping and movies. I really needed that too. I've been pretty busy lately. Hopefully I'll get paid soon so I can do my Christmas shopping.
