I'm flying out soon, one way, so we can drive back here with his car and some of his stuff. And a fish. It will be a cross country road trip in four days or so.
We've done the road trip thing before, but never this far. I'm kind of excited for the adventure of it all. I've never driven all the way across the country either. I wish we had more time to do it, and to see giant balls of yarn and other bizarre american type things, but I guess we'll see. It may be that we're too tired to want to do anything other than get there. Here. Heheh.
We've got a place to stay for a bit, but then we're going to find a new place of our own, which should also be exciting. He's got a job waiting for him when he gets here, and I'm still loving mine. We're moving forward with much hope, so that's good.
On the art front, things are coming together story-wise for my personal stop motion project. That's the hardest part I think. I know how to do the storyboards, animatic, crafting, shooting, compositing... Even the cg elements I am leaning towards... But without a good story there's not much point to it. So the writing continues, mostly by my mom at the moment since the story originated with her anyway.
You know you're in the right profession when you still want to do it when you get home, after you've been working all day doing the very same thing.
